Just went back from travelling (Cambodia, 24/02 to 01/03)

Hello Dr., I would like to seek for your advice. I just came back from travelling last week from Cambodia. My return flight was on 01/03. From 01/03 to as of today (06/03), I have no fever, no coughing, and no difficulty in breathing. I’ve done the assessment provided in link https://www.doctoroncall.com.my/coronavirus/how-to-find-out-if-i-have-coronavirus-online-test and my result was “no risk”.

Am I required to do screening?
Thanks

Hello there.

First and foremost I understand your concern regarding this issue of coronavirus since there’s an outbreak of the virus.

As mention above you’ve already did the Risk Assessment for COVID-19 and you fall into ‘no risk’ group. That’s a great news and you don’t have to do the screening. However, you still need to be careful. These are the guidelines from Centre of Disease Control (CDC) to prevent the virus:

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not available.

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

  • Stay home when you are sick.

  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.

  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces

Thank you. Please be safe always.
