Period Question age 29 female
Hi Doctor,
my wife (age 28) was on Rigevidon tablets for the last 5 years and stable menstural cycle when on the pills. prior to using the pills slighty irregular cycle sometime 40days.
She last stopped the pills in Dec 2020, and have yet to have any menstruation since.
What medication should she take or should wait and see?

We understand the condition of your wife. However, more information is needed as well is further investigation needed to be done by the doctor so that the cause can be find out. There are few causes why your wife is experiencing such issues, such as:
- Overweight: Excessive body weight can disrupt a woman’s menstrual cycle
- Stress
- Hormonal imbalance; withdrawing contraceptive pills or any hormonal contraception method can cause hormonal imbalance and then disrupt the menstruation cycle
- Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS)
- Problems with the thyroid or pituitary gland
- Ovarian failure
