Returned from the UK recently and had symptoms

HI, I’m 21 years old and I recently came back from the UK on 23rd March. I’ve been self quarantined since but the past week I’ve had a congested and runny nose, slight fever, sore throat, and a mild cough. Most of the symptoms went away after 2 days except for the runny nose which I still have so I just assumed it was flu/sinus. I just found out that someone on my flight was tested positive and I was wondering if I should get tested as well? Even with just a runny nose now? Thank you

Hello. Thank you for the question. For your information, it is recommended for those who have symptoms and just recently traveled to countries that are heavily affected by the COVID-19 or having close contact with someone who is a confirmed case of COVID-19. Because you had similar symptoms and traveled with someone who is a confirmed case of COVID-19, you are considered as a close contact and have to get tested.
