Safety Precaution for baby

What is the safety precaution that I can take for my 5 months old baby in regards to avoid the Covid19 infection? Should they wear a mask? And can we use hand sanitizer on them?

Greetings!

Thank you for your question. It is best that anyone touching or getting close to your baby takes the precautionary measures to ensure your baby’s safety. Do not take your child out for the mean time. These are the guidelines from the Centre of Disease Control (CDC):

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not available.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Stay home when you are sick.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces

I hope this answers your question.
