Son has food allergy

My 12 year old son has nut allergy so would like to inquire on whether he take Covid-19 vaccine. Thank you.

Hello, thank you for your enquiry.

For your information, food allergy is not contraindicated for vaccination. Your son can receive Covid-19 vaccine, it is unlikely to trigger his allergic reaction.

If you still concern, you may inform the health care workers at the vaccine center about your son’s allergy, they might take longer time to observe your son after he receive the vaccine.

For more information you may refer to your doctor, or contact CPRC via 0388810200/+60178429454 or contact us for an online consultation for assistance.
