Suppose to be my ovulation day
Tomorrow suppose is my ovulation day. However, opk tested negative. Does this affected by the levonorgestrel pill which I took on the last day of my period? Does the pill affect the result of opk test?

Hello, thank you for your questions.
For your information, Levonorgestrel pill is a contraceptive medication that is uses as birth control, which contains progestogen. Meanwhile, OPK (Ovulation Predictor Kit) test is an ovulation test that are used to test the timing of ovulation, by detecting the Luteinizing Hormone levels contained inside your urine that is currently circulating in your body. LH are secreted by the ovaries during the follicular phase, which is around a few days after you menstrual period.
Hence, the usage of any birth control pills might interfere with the OPK test results due to the inhibitory feedback caused by the hormonal content inside birth control pills. This will cause an unreliable test results when using OPK regardless if it shows negative or positive.
We suggest you to retake your OPK test during the next menstrual cycle but this time without the use of any hormonal or birth control medication. We hope this answers your question.
