COVID 19 Vaccine - Gallbladder Removal last 2 years

I’m 35 years old and has done gallbladder removal last 2 years in 2019, can I take COVID vaccine? Am I consider as someone with comorbidities?

Greetings. Thank you for your question.

We sincerely understand your concern regarding COVID-19 vaccination. Do not worry, we are here to help you.

For your information, people with comorbidities are people are at increased risk of COVID-19 infection. These may include people with underlying uncontrolled medical conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, lung, liver, and kidney disease, cancer patients on chemotherapy, smokers, transplant recipients, and patients taking steroids.

Generally, based on the high risks that surgical patients face, experts calculate that vaccines for surgical patients is more likely to prevent COVID-19 related deaths.

Nevertheless, it is better for you to get further confirmation from a doctor or specialist , as well as report to the medical officer at your Vaccination Center, as you may need pre vaccination assessment to prevent any serious complications .
