Lump under armpit and menstrual cycle

Hello, I’m a lady in mid 20’s and I have history of ovarian cyst. In this couple days, I realise that I have a lump under my armpit and it’s hurt. In the same time, my menstrual cycle seem off (unusual) than its normally been (the blood seems soo little in the first 3 days). Does it have anything to do with cyst?

Hello, thank you for your enquiry.

From your description, we know that you have history of ovarian cyst, currently having a painful lump under your armpit and unusual menstrual cycle. We will try to answer your doubt.

For your information, the painful lump under your armpit may have a few causes, such as infections, inflamed hair follicle (folliculitis) or furuncle (boils), lipoma, cyst, a swollen lymph node and so on.

It may or may not related to the changes on your menstrual cycle because any strenuous or stressful conditions may leads to such changes. For your case, it may due to the painful lump; or due to your emotional stress; or because of the ovarian cyst.

Therefore, we recommend you refer this problem to a doctor for further examinations and investigations, to find out the actual cause for your lump and treat accordingly. As your lump being taken care of, your menstrual may return normally or may remain the same which you will need a gynaecologist help.

For more information, you may refer this mater to your doctor or contact us for an online consultation for further assistance as well.

Thank you, we hope our answer has been helpful.
