Private parts problems

I’m a 16 years old male and I notice that my right right testicle is smaller than my right one. Last year i got mumps and it cause my left one to swollen. Doctor gave me antibiotics and I believe I didnt finish taking it (I didnt remember). Is there anyway to treat it and would it make less sperm than a normal sized one?

Hi and thank you for asking us

Through the question and statement you gave on the above section, I completely understand your concern over this matter. For your information, generally testicles should be uneven in size, one should be bigger than the other by a small margin. If you have a normal and healthy testicle, you shouldn’t feel pain when you stand, sit or move around. You shouldn’t have redness and swelling as well.

But due to the fact that I am unable to examine your condition I cannot give a proper diagnosis if your testicle are normal in size or not. Here are some causes that could lead one testicle to be bigger:

  • Epididymitis
  • Epididymal cyst
  • Orchitis
  • Hydrocele
  • Varicocele
  • Testicular torsion
