Related to Vaccination

Would like to ask while taking Sunolut (Norethisterone 5mg) 2 tablets per day, is it ok to go for vaccination? Or should I stop taking those pills before vaccination ? If so, should stop taking it for how many days before the vaccination ?

Hi, thank you for reaching out to us.

We understand your concern about receiving the COVID-19 vaccine while taking the hormone or birth control pills. We are here to help you.

For your information, there is no contraindication of the birth control pill with the COVID-19 vaccine. Women who taking birth control are advised to take the jab.

Things to take note, if you have any history of immediate onset anaphylaxis to multiple classes of drugs or unexplained anaphylaxis, it is better that you get further confirmation from a doctor or specialist, as well as report to the medical officer at your Vaccination Center, to prevent any serious complications .

You can also contact the Crisis Preparedness and Response Center (CPRC) or JKJAV.
