Second Covid Swab Test Requirement

Hi Dr in charge,

I am a close contact to a confirmed Covid-19 case. My PCR test is tested negative after the acknowledgment of the confirmed case.

After 10 days of quarantine passed, I developed no symptoms of Covid-19. Do I still need to do second swab test?

I am worried to go out again and as I might get the real Covid-19 viruses going to the clinics.

Hello!
Thank you for reaching out to us.

We understand that you are a close contact of a Covid positive patient and have finished your quarantine. Your first swab test was also done and it was negative. We will try to help you out.

For your information, the infectivity rate of the virus is very low after the period of quarantine. Swab test is generally only recommended for close contacts who are symptomatic. Since you have not developed any symptoms, it is not necessary for a second swab test.

If your have further questions, you can contact CAC nearest to you, or you can speak to one of our doctors online.
