Vagina Yeast infection treatment

I am women in my 20’s , recently I’m having yeast infection for past 3 months, vulvar condition itchy and always moisture condition , can doctor suggested treatment in cream way rather than pills…thanks

Through the question and statement you gave on the above section, i completely understand your concern over this matter. Regarding the description of your condition, the symptoms and signs that you stated are too vague. There are several questions that we need to enquire from you to explore different possibilities and making conclusions regarding your complaints. On top of that, especially for skin problem, it is very crucial for the doctor to look at the skin condition in order to come out with a conclusion.

Saying that, it would be difficult for me to judge if it is normal or not. So, I greatly suggest that you refer this to your nearest medical doctor. This is because to know an accurate diagnosis, we need additional details to explore further into your current complaints.

In general, a vulvovaginal candidiasis or yeast infections refers to vulval and vaginal symptoms caused by a yeast, most often called as Candida albicans. It affects 75% of female on at least 1 occasion during a lifetime.

The grow of Candida infections cause many symptoms to the female patient such as white colour vaginal discharge, a burning sensation in the vagina or vulva, an itchy rash on the skin of vulva and surrounding skin surfaces as well.

Other terms used for vulvovaginal candidiasis are vaginal thrush, vaginal candidiasis or vulvovaginal candidiasis. There are few factors that can cause candida infections. The several factors such as

  • antibiotics (it can decrease the amount of Lactobacillus which is a good bacteria located in the vagina)
  • uncontrolled diabetes mellitus
  • weak immune system
  • pregnancy
  • poor eating habits, including a lot of sugary foods
  • stress or emotional changes
  • hormonal imbalance during your menstrual cycle
  • lack of sleep.

These yeast infections caused by candida albicans are usually easily treatable. If you are having recurring yeast infections as you said or problems getting rid of a candida infection with given treatment, then a different types of Candida species can be the cause of the infection. A laboratory test can identify what kind of Candida species that you have.
