Allergic to NSAID, is it safe to inject covid-19 vaccination?
Mysejahtera had arranged vaccination appointment at a clinic in July 2021. However, the doctor has advised me to go HKL for vaccination instead due to my allergy to NSAID. I have yet received any call from HKL. I do not want to wait further. May I just walk in to other vaccination centre for the vaccine? Is it safe for me to inject covid-19 vaccination?

Hello,
Thank you for contacting us regarding your problem.
For your information, the Covid-19 vaccine is recommended for everyone except for those with severe allergic reactions towards medications. Since you have an allergy towards NSAIDs, and have been advised by your doctor to get your vaccination in HKL, it is best too follow through with that advice. In case you develop an anaphylactic reaction after vaccination, you will be able to receive medical attention promptly. However, if you do decide on getting your vaccination on the given date, please inform the healthcare workers at the vaccination centre of your allergic condition so that they can taken certain precautions and advise you accordingly.
