Covid 19 vaccine and thalassemia
I am 22 years women .I have alpa thalassemia trait . Should I need to see the doctor first before taking the vaccine ? I am taking astrazeneca vaccine . I have low blood pressure as well . What should I do before taking the vaccine ?

Based on the latest information, the COVID-19 vaccine is only safe for those that do not have a history of severe allergic reactions to certain medications. Nonetheless, all levels of society (including those with a low risk of having an adverse effect) are very much encouraged to get the COVID-19 vaccination in order for us to eliminate the chain of COVID-19 infection in the country and the world. Furthermore, at the very least (on a personal level) preventing the risk of developing complications if unfortunately were to be infected by the virus.
However, it is better that you get further confirmation from a doctor or specialist at a nearby clinic or hospital, as well as report to the medical officer at your Vaccination Center.
You can also contact the Crisis Preparedness and Response Center (CPRC) or JKJAV. In addition, continue the routine of regular hand hygiene, practice social/physical incarceration, wear face masks outdoors and adhere to other pandemics SOPs.
