Finished my period a week ago and suddenly there is some blood clots

I a am 25 years old. I already finish my period a week ago and yesterday I found out there is some blood but the color is faded red and some blood clots. And today there is no signs of period.

For your information, passing clot during your period is normal and it is more commonly seen if people who is on birth control, pregnant or sexually active.

Get through that time of the month comfortably without leak.

It is also could occur at any time of your cycle. It’s an old blood that never really leave your uterus for some time and it could be completely normal.

Common conditions when you can experience passing clot in between your periods are:

  • Pregnancy; this is due to the implantation
  • Using birth control (pills or implants); process of getting accustomed with the hormonal changes in the body
  • Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)
  • Pelvic inflammatory disease (infection of your reproductive organs)
  • Sexually transmitted infection (STI)
  • Uterine fibroids or polyps; can cause irregular and heavier bleeding as well as bleeding in between periods
  • Endometriosis; causes heavier bleeding or bleeding between period
  • Blood clotting problems
