  • Hey there and good day. Thank you for your kind question. Genital herpes is one of the most common sexually transmitted disease (STD) that any sexually active people can get. Most patient with the virus do not presented with any symptoms. However some of them like yours have few symptoms like blisters, itch, tingling sensation, crust and some of the lymph glands may become swollen. Even without any symptoms of the herpes, it can still be transmitted to sex partners that you having a contact with.

  • How do I know whether I have genital herpes or not?
Herpes pain usually appear as 1 or more blisters on or even around the your genital are, rectum or mouth. The lesions can break and causing painful sores that may take a week or even more to cure. These symptoms are sometimes called as having a flare up or an outbreak.

  • The 1st time patient has an outbreak they may also experiences flu like symptoms such as fever, swollen glands or having body aches. Patients who experience an initial outbreak of herpes also can have repeated outbreaks, especially if they are infected with herpes simplex virus 2.

  • The next outbreaks are usually shorter and less severe than the 1st outbreak. Although the infection may not be cured and it can stays in the body for the rest of your life, but the good news is that the number of outbreaks may decrease as time passed by.

You should present yourself to your local GP for further investigation to confirm that you have a herpes infection.
