Hello, I’m a 17 years old male and my height is 137 cm (4ft 6in). I’ve always been really short, but I don’t think I’m going to grow much taller and I’d like to do something about it as soon as I can. What should I do?

Want a healthier lifestyle? Get your supplement now!

Generally, our society needs to understand that exercise and a nutritious diet are only stimulants to more ideal body health and height growth. However, not all exercise or nutritious diet will have the same effect on every individual.

Furthermore, an individual can still grow taller only if their long bone ‘epiphysis’ layer has not fully calcified. Usually, the calcification of the ‘epiphysis’ layer will slowly occur when we reach the age of puberty.

Therefore, each doctor’s recommendation (on nutrition or supplementation regarding this subject) will usually be based on the specific aspect of your health & condition, notably because different individuals have different ways to maximise their bone growth potential.

Prior to getting proper consultation (to know whether there is a viable supplementation available, etc.), you might want to try these simple height-related exercises to gives further momentum on your bone growth, such as:

  • squatting
  • swimming
  • cycling
  • stretching muscles
  • etc.
