Mid of recovery from Covid-19 but still coughing
Hi Doctor, I’m a positive Covid-19 patient and had complete my quarantine and got my release letter from Covid Assessment Centre. However i’m still having cough and worried that the virus in my body could spread to my family and colleagues. So which hospital can I go at Shah Alam to see my CT-Value? or what kind of test is recommended? Because i want to make sure that the virus in my body will not spread to my colleagues when i back to work or at family.

Hi and thank you for this question.
We understand your issue and would love to help.
Many report cough as a side effect after recovery from Covid-19 and symptoms regress with time.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say that a person who has had COVID-19 can be around other people again if all of the below statements are true:
- It has been 10 days since they first developed symptoms.
- They have not had a fever for 24 hours and have not used fever-reducing medications
- Their other symptoms of COVID-19 are improving.
If a person is only experiencing a loss of taste and smell as a lingering symptom, they do not need to continue isolating.
It is important to note that this recommendation is for people who have had symptoms.
We also strongly advise you to adhere to standard protocols like proper hand hygiene and the usage of face masks.
We would like you to speak to our doctors online for further questions regarding this issue or or call the CPRC line at 0388810200/60178429454.
We hope this answer helped.
Thank you.
