My partner is hiv positive

my partner is hiv positive and he often got hemorrhoid recently when i help to clean and apply cream in the anal part i saw there are some white dots something like pimples white in color and what should i do ?

Hello sir, thanking you for contacting regarding your concern. Firstly, I would like to inform you that the white colored pimples that you saw on your partner are called genital warts. These warts are caused by HPV, Human Papilloma Virus which is a common sexually transmitted infection.

Though, it can be transmitted by just mere skin contact around the anal area or the weakening of immune system in your partner due to HIV can be a cause for the anal warts to appear. The warts infect the area around and inside the anus and are known to develop on the skin area of the genitals.

They appear as tiny dots at first and then soon take a larger size and can almost cover the entire genital area. They usually appear painless at first but once they start taking their full form they can be very painful, itchy and can result in bleeding. Discharge of mucus can be witnessed along with a feeling of lump around the anal area.

In my opinion, you should consult your doctor at your earliest. The doctor will examine the anus and pelvic area as well as the genitals. There maybe a procedure carried out by the doctor to check the anal cavity to notice the extent how much the warts have spread; and can guide you accordingly with medications as they are already small in size right now, otherwise a surgery might have been necessary to remove them.

The medication should be taken regularly by course as the chance of a relapse in the future is possible. I hope this helped you with the information you required.
