Period problem for a long time

Hello, I’m a woman & 24 years old. Since I started having period at the age of 14, I been having an irregular period. Most of the time I have it once in a 2 months but since last year My period comes only once in 4 or 3 months. Do my body have a problem?
Every month I can feel the period cramps but the period is not coming.

An irregular menstrual cycle is experienced when the range between your period changes frequently. For your information, there are various causes of irregular menstruation such as:

  • Stress disorders
  • Unstable hormones (due to medications or disease disorders)
  • Sudden weight loss or increase
  • Use of certain medications
  • Exercises that do not comply with the correct guidelines
  • Medical problems - polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) or thyroid problems
  • Thickening or polyps on the lining of the uterus and uterine fibroids
  • Breastfeeding
  • Hormonal contraceptives: Contraceptive pills or IUCD

  • it interferes with your daily routine
