Razor bump at private area

Hai, i am a girl and age 22. I have a lot of razor bumps that stay at private area almost 6 years long…is there any ways on how to eliminate it? It does feel so disgusting and i’m quite shy to discuss about this or even go to clinic to solve the problem. Help me . And thank you for your time on explaining it😊

Good day. Thank you for your query.

This is a general answer/solution for the problem you’ve stated. For detailed explanation, please sign up at (DoctorOnCall) to talk to our doctors on line.

Ingrown hairs develop when hair starts to grow back into the skin, rather than up and out. After removing hair by shaving, waxing, or plucking, the hair may curl and turn inward. As the new skin cells grow over the hair, it becomes trapped and causes a bump to form.

Razor bumps can range in size from small to large, and they can be red or have a white, pus-filled bump.

Although nothing can make them go away instantly, there are several strategies that can help remove them faster and allow the skin to heal:

  • use salicylic acid
  • use glcolic acid
  • tweeze
  • use a warm washcloth

You are encouraged to see a doctor as soon as possible to check and the best treatment can be given to you.
You may talk to our doctors confidentially by signing up at (DoctorOnCall) for a detailed explanation and treatment options. Thank you
