Vacine after quarantine

Hi doctor,

I’m an ex covid patient with mild symptom (cant taste and smell)…finish quarantine at home on 1/6/21…im having mild cough after quarantine…can i still get my vacination on 11/6/21?? Please advise…tq.

Hi, thank you for contacting us.

We truly understand that you want to know whether you are still able to receive the vaccine, knowing that you had finished your quarantine on the 6th of June 2021 and yet still having a mild cough. Don’t worry, we are here to help you.

For your information, the time frame that is recommended to receive the vaccine after having a COVID-19 infection is as soon as you are out of quarantine, unless if you have been receiving certain medication of monoclonal antibodies during treatment. Sometimes a scheduled vaccination can be postponed or delayed when the patient is eliciting symptoms such as a fever.

Henceforth, it is better that you get further confirmation from a doctor or specialist, as well as report to the medical officer at your Vaccination Center, to prevent any serious complications.

You can also contact the Crisis Preparedness and Response Center (CPRC) or JKJAV.
