Why is my HSV IgG result not 0 if I am negative? If value in the negative range is different from previous test value but still in negative range, do I need to worry?

I am negative for HSV1 but value in my HSV IgG index range is 0.1 and not 0 like last year. Does it mean now the antibody went up? I have no symptoms but when I checked with my doctor, he said shift from 0 to 0.1 is strange and asked me to come back in 3 months for same test.

For your information, 0.89 IV or less : Negative - No significant level of detectable HSV IgG antibody. Thus, based on your explaination above, with a negative value for HSV1 and levels of 0.1 for HSV IgG, it is within the normal range, does not show active signs on infection.

To know more about your result, please refer to a doctor. you can contact us for an online consultation so we can help you further.
