Blood Pressure Medicine and side effect

I am a 35 years old male. I got high blood pressure and already been on medication around 2 years. Recently my doc say there is improvement of my blood pressure and lower my medication by changing from Novartis Exforge 5mg/160mg to Pfizer Olmetec 40mg. Is Olmetec less powerful than Exforge? Did the medicine got any side effect on kidney(cos I got stage 2 chronic kidney disease)? or other side effect?. Thx.
