How long should a member of the Sri Petaling tabligh attendees; whom had tested negative on 26th March for Covid19; be further quarantined at home before going out and about? and what about his family (wife and kids); if they develop any URTI sx, will they need to be tested for covid19 first or can be seen at any GP clinics (because he tested negative)

Greetings!

We understand your worries especially we are now in the midst of coronavirus outbreak.

Once the individual is confirmed negative, he won’t need to be self-quarantine at home they are free to go out but they still need to abide with the restriction movement order.

If the other family member develop symptoms, it is advised for them to do risk Assessment for COVID-19 to evaluate their health status in regards to this disease. They will be classified into several categories and follow the advice given after completing this quiz. This initiative is to reduce crowd coming to the hospital for screening in fear of coronavirus infection as well as to avoid you going out of the house unnecessarily.

You may consult a MOH doctor by clicking Ask Doctor at the Ministry of Health website (COVID-19 Portal) to ask any health issues related to COVID-19 starting from 8.30 am to 5.00 pm.
