Paracetamol treat COVID-19

Hi, doc, I’m 35 years old man, is it true that panadol or paracetamol can be used to treat COVID-19?

Hi and thank you for your question.

We truly understand your concern about the potential use of paracetamol in treating COVID-19.

For your information, paracetamol is an alternative that is commonly used in our society for its mild analgesic and antipyretic properties, in order to mitigate mild pain and reduce fever respectively.

Currently, there are no scientifically proven data that supports the idea that paracetamol can be used to treat the cause of COVID-19 viral infection.

With that being said you are highly encouraged to talk to our doctor online so that we can give further information and advice on the matter.
