Pregnant & Mistakenly ate wrong medication

I’m currently 17 weeks pregnant. Was prescribed by doc with Loratadine to cure the flu. However, i wrongly ate the other flu medicine which is causing drowsiness (Chlorpheniramine Allersin-F 1 piece only).

Will it have impact to my baby i.e. baby defects or miscarriage?

Hello, and thank you for contacting us.

Although your enquiry is straight to the point, our assistance is still limited due to the confinements this forum provides.

Pregnancy is a beautiful journey into motherhood. Make sure you get enough nutrients for you and your baby.

For your information, Chlorpheniramine is not advised to be taken by pregnant women, more so it is ideally prohibited for nursing women, due to the possibility of the drug transferring through breastmilk and also jeopardizes breast milk production.

However, I would argue that for your current condition, the drug would not harm an unborn baby. Nonetheless, you should have a check-up to ensure everything is fine in the near future.
