Blood thinning medicine before vaccine

Hi. My mom 61 is yrs old. And got heart attack before. So she has been prescribed with blood thinner medication. My question is can she take the blood thinner medication on the vaccine day?

Hi and thank you for asking us

Through the question and statement you gave on the above section, I completely understand your concern over this matter. Although there is no prohibition for you to take the COVID-19 vaccine, I would strongly suggest you to talk with your doctor first before getting the vaccine. As there are certain information regarding your medication that needs to take into account. There is also certain procedures need to be done before you take the injection as you are on blood thinner medication.

It is important to let the health worker or doctor know your health condition and history. Therefore, we greatly suggest that you refer this to your nearest medical doctor.
