Can itp patients get vaccinated for covid 19

hi dr i m concerns can get vaccinated if i had ITP(idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura). because i watch news from overseas that a dctor died . before he was vaccinated he never have itp .

For your information, there is no problem for you to get the COVID 19 vaccine, but the best option for you is to check you health status first before getting the vaccination and notify the health worker of your condition. Here are the terms for people who are not eligible to take the vaccine:

  • Breastfeeding mother
  • Pregnant mother
  • Person who had a history of allergic reaction to vaccines
  • Person who had a history of admission into the hospital due to bad allergic reaction
  • HIV patients
  • Patients who are undergoing cancer treatment such as chemotherapy

I suggest for you to consult your doctor first regarding your condition to receive the vaccine. A few more questions is needed before giving the vaccine.
