Covid 19 vaccine for covid 19 patient

I am 36 years old woman and covid19 patient (2nd May 2021). My question is, can I take my 1st dose vaccine? I still have long covid symptom like coughing, ear buzzing, tiredness, chest pain sometimes. Or I need to wait 3 months from the date I confirm positive then only can take my vaccine.

Hi, thank you for reaching out to us.

We truly understand that you want to know whether it is fine for you to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Don’t worry, we are here to help you.

For your information, you should be vaccinated regardless of whether you already had COVID-19. It is because experts do not yet know how long you are protected from getting sick again after recovering from COVID-19. Although you have already recovered from COVID-19, it is possible that you could be infected with the virus that causes COVID-19 again.

The time frame that are recommended to receive vaccine after having a COVID-19 infection is after 3 month, except if you have received certain medication of monoclonal antibodies during treatment.

However, it is better that you get further confirmation from a doctor or specialist , as well as report to the medical officer at your Vaccination Center, to prevent any serious complications .
