Hello there. I would like to thank you for coming forward with the inquiry. From your description, it seems to me that you are fatigue and it costing you your job too. Feeling tired can be harmless but it may also point to some underlying medical conditions. Fatigue is tiredness that is constant causing exhaustion.

The common reasons for fatigue are lack of sleep, high levels of stress, dehydration or chronic fatigue syndrome. Stress causes the body to increase in tension causing the immune system to weaken. This makes the muscle stiff subsequently giving rise to inflammation. Lack of sleep makes the body exhausted making the body feel sluggish and heavy. Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) is considered when there is an extreme fatigue that does not go away with rest and cannot be explained by medical conditions.

I would recommend that you try to overcome these causes first before seeing a doctor by making sure you drink adequate amount of water, rest adequately with at least seven hours of sleep and have a warm bath to relax the tense muscles. If the fatigue persists, I suggest that you consult a doctor.

Several medical conditions may give rise to fatigue too such as allergic rhinitis where it is triggered by allergens and gives symptoms such as runny nose and itchiness and anaemia where the red blood cells are not adequate to supplement enough of oxygen for all parts of the body. Symptoms such as breathlessness and pale-looking face is common. If you feel that you have anxiety or sad thoughts that make you feel hopeless, anxiety disorder or depression are possible.

I recommend that if the symptom persists, you should consult a doctor. As for supplements, energy booster such as caffeine can be taken as a temporary relief of fatigue.
