Is it correct certain klinik kesihatan KK can do the covid screening?

My staff undergo covid19 test at KK puchong thru blood sampling. She said thay the result is negative however there is no medical report issued by the doctor. Are this make sense? Coz what i understand is covid19 screening is done thru sampling from nose and mouth and you cannot get the result straight away on the same day even though she is having the symptoms as the sample need to be send to laboratories.

Greetings!

Thank you for your question. The results of COVID 19 screening test can be received as early as 24 to 48 hours following the investigation. Although your employee has symptoms, he/she should identify the risk profile. Therefore, you are encouraged to advice your employee to answer the quiz on Risk Assessment for COVID-19 to evaluate your health status in regards to this disease. After completing this quiz, your employee will be classified into several categories. The decision of whether a person needs to be checked is depending on the doctor’s evaluation of the patient’s history and risks which is those of high risk. If a person develops symptoms such as fever and respiratory symptoms and has close contact or travelled from/to countries of high risk for COVID-19 infection in the last 14 days, he/she will be further evaluated for diagnostic testing. We also provide home testing services, accessible through this link: COVID-19 Screening At Home.
