- Does taking Norethisterone 5mg will cause blood clot ?

  • If the vaccination was taken place together with consuming those pills, will it increases the risk of blood clot after the vaccination? Which vaccine should be avoid (such as Astrazeneca will cause blood clot) and is Pfizer & Sinovac has the risk of causing blood clot too ?
  • What are the symptoms of blood clot ?

Hi, thank you for your questions.

For your information, there is no contraindication of the birth control pill with the COVID-19 vaccine. Women who taking birth control are advised to take the jab.

Things to take note, if you have any history of immediate onset anaphylaxis to multiple classes of drugs or unexplained anaphylaxis, it is better that you get further confirmation from a doctor or specialist , as well as report to the medical officer at your Vaccination Center, to prevent any serious complications .
