Pcr test on covid 19 because of same households

Hello, my dad is positive for COVID 19,and his pcr ct value is 21 and all of us done with 2nd dose and more than 14 days already … he get fever on Thursday and no symptoms on Sunday. Since Thursday he was self quarantined. Should I go and make a pcr test, or make it if I get any symptoms?? Thank you.

Hello, thank you for your enquiry.

For your information, according to the Covid-19 protocol, people who are fully vaccinated do not need to quarantine after contact with someone who had Covid-19 unless they have symptoms. However, fully vaccinated people should get tested within 3-5 days after their exposure. Even if there are no symptoms, please do wear a mask indoors or in public for 14 days following exposure or until the latest result is negative.

Although you and the rest of your family members are fully vaccinated, please understand that the acquired immunity is unable to 100% protect you from Covid-19. Following SOPs are still the fundamental measures, please wear mask, always sanitize your hands and maintain social distancing.

Further information, you may contact the relevant department CPRC via 0388810200/+60178429454 and you may also contact us for online consultations.

Thank you, we hope our answer has been helpful.
