Self Quarantine Limitation

My sister is coming home from London tomorrow, I understand she will need to undergo self quarantine. No worries, she is all fine and no symptom. However, we would like to know her self quarantine limitation is it only to her room or she can access the whole house (e.g: living room, kitchen etc.)? Aside from myself, my mom is staying in the house, just to make it clear we are all fine. just would like to know the self quarantine limitation.

Hi, thank you for your question.

We understand your worries regarding this matter. For your information, self quarantine means the person have to isolate themselves from other people. This means, in your house, she have to stay in her own room and not to freely roam around the house. She also have to limit herself from contact with other family members. No hugging, shaking hands. She is also cannot share toilet with other family members.

As the virus incubation period is around 14 days, it is possible for someone to have this virus even she or he does not have any symptoms. Therefore isolation for 14 days is necessary.
