Skin conditions which consists of blisters and itchiness, and cause the skin on my hand to turns red and inflamed

Im a 17 years old girl and i have this skin conditions for approximately a month or so. This skin condition specifically exist on my hand and around my fingers. But it wasn’t to severe until i couldn’t move my hand or anything. I still could use my hand easily. Then, one day i decided to go to clinic and get some medicine because it was so itchy and the blisters around my fingers and on my palms just keep on increasing plus, my skin was really dry. Then the doctor prescribed me with 2 types of creams for day and night(which doesn’t have its name on, so i dont know what it was) and they also gave me 2 kinds of pills which I don’t remember whats its name and it was to consumed within 2 weeks. So,when i took the prescribed medications, my skin has gotten a lot better. But the doctor told me to come back after 2 weeks to check on my improvement with the medicines and my skin but unfortunately i didn’t come back after 2 weeks and this is probably because i thought my skin conditions has gotten better and the same problems wouldn’t strike me again. But, after a while ive used all of my cream until i ran out of it basically i continued taking the medicines like usual. So after a while, i couldn’t wear the cream because i ran out of it,then my skin conditions came back and it was very itchy and have blisters, like usual.
Then, yesterday, i went to a different clinic and to get some consultation and also some prescribed medicine that could help with my skin problems.
The doctor gave me this cream called bethamethasone 17-valerate which is a type of steroids. But, my real question is does this steroid cream can help my skin. Because after wearing it for 1 day, the blisters on my skin increased but the itchiness doesn’t strike me as often. But, it still give me doubt, of whether this prescribed cream can really improved my skin conditions. Can help me? Thank you very much!
