Vaccine Covid-19 vs SLE
My mother have history of SLE back in 1977.Alhamdulillah now the doctor said my mother is cured and free from SLE. There’s no medication prescribe for it anymore. Can my mother take the COVID-19 vaccine ? Or can I register my mother for the AstraZeneca vaccine?

For your information, The American College of Rheumatology COVID-19 Vaccine Clinical Guidance recommends people with autoimmune disease including lupus/SLE to take the COVID-19. However, it is best for your mother to do a pre-vaccination assessment and consult with her doctor regarding her suitability to receive the vaccine before registering for the vaccination.
