Coughing with phelgm, fever & runny nose previously
Hi, im 25 yo. Currently having cough with mild phelgm, colourless sometimes yellowish.
On 17/3 Started getting colds, been sneezing on & off.
18/3 Had runny nose with sneezing on & off.
19/3 Had mild fever with runny nose. Took panadol & actified
20/3 Fever subside, no longer had runny nose. One time had diarrhea. But that’s all. However, started coughing.
21/3 Now on & off been getting the cough with mild phelgm. No fever, no runny nose.
I dont want to be paranoid & straight away go to the doctor knowing others might had it worse,
but doctor could you advise me on the medicine should I take for the cough?
During my last fever on December, I’ve been prescribed with bisolvan, copastin, prednisolone & lozenges.
So which one shall I take to treat the cough?

For you information, WHO listed common symptoms for COVID-19 infection as follows:
- Fever (more than 37.5 degrees celcius)
- Fatigue
- Cough
- Aches and pains
- Sorethroat
- Headaches
- Shortness of breath
However, as you may already aware, these symptoms are not specific to COVID-19 but can be presented in other conditions such as in common flu and other infections by bacteria or other viruses.
Besides COVID-19, cough with phlegm can be due to various health conditions:
- common cold
- allergic rhinitis
- sinusitis
- pneumonia
