Hi.my husband had a contact with a confirmed covid 19 patient by shaking hand.he is currently asymptomatic.should he get tested?if so,where should he go? My children and I have some fever and cough, but we have no direct contact with any positive covid patients. Should we get ested?
Thank you for your question. I understand that you are worried about contracting the COVID-19 virus because your husband had direct contact with a person confirmed with COVID-19. I would encourage you and your family members to answer this quiz on Risk Assessment for COVID-19 to evaluate your health status in regards to this disease. After completing this quiz, you will be classified into several categories. Further instructions will be given at the end of the quiz. Please act accordingly. Since you had direct contact with a confirmed case, you may also directly visit the hospitals in this list for a COVID-19 screening test. (Designated Hospital for COVID-19). Other than that, do practice good hand hygien and wear your face mask in public.
You may consult a MOH doctor by clicking Ask Doctor at the Ministry of Health website (COVID-19 Portal) to ask any health issues related to COVID-19 starting from 8.30 am to 5.00 pm.
After 5.00 pm till 12.00 am, please direct your enquiries to our DoctorOnCall website at this link https://www.doctoroncall.com.my/tanya/.
