Hi there! Thank you for the question. It is apparent that you are worried about your condition. First of all, I hope you are doing alright now. It can be very tiring to experience diarrhea for 2 weeks. As you have mentioned, you have tried herbal medication but it did not confer any relieve. As to answer your question, there are few causes of bloody diarrhea such as peptic ulcers, colorectal cancer and angiodysplasia.

Peptic ulcers are open sores that develop on the inside lining of your stomach and the upper portion of your small intestine which are caused by bacterium Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) or long -term use nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Burning stomach pain, feeling of fullness, bloating or belching, fatty food intolerance, heartburn, nausea, vomiting, vomiting blood, dark blood in stools, or stools that are black or tarry, trouble breathing and unexplained weight loss are some symptoms of peptic ulcer.

Colon cancer is cancer of the large intestine (colon), which is the final part of your digestive tract and it usually caused by lifestyle and genetics. Rectal bleeding or blood in your stool, unexplained weight loss, persistent abdominal discomfort, such as cramps, gas or pain, feeling that your bowel doesn’t empty completely, a change in your bowel habits, including diarrhea or constipation or a change in the consistency of your stool and weakness or fatigue are symptoms of colon cancer.

Doing a colonoscopy would help your doctor to come up with the right diagnosis. Angiodysplasia is the most common vascular lesion of the gastrointestinal tract and is usually related to age and strain on the bowel wall.
Black, tarry stool are the most common symptom of this condition. Hence it is advisable to consult a doctor for your condition. This will prevent any future consequences. All the best!
