Prediabetes & Pre-hypertension

I am 22 years old and I have been practising a fairly unhealthy lifestyle daily (go to bed around 2-3 am, eating junk food around 11pm-12am in night, and wake up around 11-12pm on the next day,) for around a year or so. Few weeks ago when I first checked my blood glucose level and blood pressure, I found out that I was in the prediabetes & pre-hypertension range, (5.7 mmol/L; 130/82 mmHg, with a 120 bpm pulse).

Since then, I changed my lifestyle (go to bed early around 12 am, wake up around 9-10 am on the next day, and eat less junk food during midnight hours), and my blood glucose level and blood pressure have lowered a bit (5.4 mmol/L; 115/74 mmHg - 105 bpm pulse). Its been third week I maintain a healthy lifestyle, but I feel that my new glucose and pressure readings are still pretty high (like in the borderline of the healthy range).

My question is that will the readings continue to lower across the long term? If it doesn’t, should I be concerned?

  3. Get enough sleep
