Smelling a scent that is not there

I am a woman in my 20s and I have been experiencing a condition where I smell smoke or something burning even though the scent is not actually there. Previously, I had experienced this for 4 months (November until February) then it suddenly disappeared. For the last few days, I have been experiencing this again.

Is this a cause of concern? Should I be worried?
