Can I get pregnant?

On 25/9 I and my boyfriend had a sex and on that day too I’m having my 4th day of my period. And on 2/10 we both had a sex too but the next day I already consume birth control pills . Is that any chance I to get pregnant?

Hello and good morning. Thank you for your inquiries.

For your information, a woman can be pregnant when their spouse ejaculates into the vagina during sexual intercourse during the most fertile period of the month. Sperm cells inside the semen requires to travel through the genital tract down to the uterus and fallopian tube where they fertilize with the women’s ovum.

In your case, the first time you had sex with your boyfriend was on your period day. There will be no chance of getting pregnant in this circumstance. However, you are discouraged to have sex when you are menstruating because it is unhygienic.

The second circumstance was you took a birth control pill to prevent pregnancy. It depends on which birth control pill but it would be lowered generally. You may try using condom or depo injection to lower the risk of STI (Sexual Transmitted Infection) and unwanted pregnancy.
