Married since 2003 with 1 son. Has been facing this issue since many many years but never think to get some kind of medical advice or treatment. Cannot hold during intercourse (1minute maybe)

Hi there, from your description above, this problem has been troubling you for quite a while. It can be frustrating for you and your partner as premature ejaculation may affect the intimate relationship. In the long run, premature ejaculation may strain your relationship due to emotional stresses. It is not a pleasant experience and i am glad that you are concerned about this issue.

Premature ejaculation refers to ejaculation before an intercourse or less than a minute during the intercourse. However, there is no definite set time for a man to ejaculate during sex. If a man experiences premature ejaculation, you will lose the penile erection earlier. This reduces the intimacy time of your partner. In reality, about 20% to 30% of men may experiences premature ejaculation at some point during their lives.

There are several factors causing premature ejaculation, such as stress, depression, anxiety, guilt or relationship problems. It may also be associated with erectile dysfunction, abnormal sex hormonal level, abnormal neurotransmitters and genitalia inflammation. As you can see, there are a mixture of biological and psychological factors contributing to premature ejaculation.

This issue must be discussed with your partner honestly and request medical assistance if required. There are several treatments available that helps to alleviate and improve this condition. Treatments can be divided into psychological treatment or medical treatment. It is recommended to consult your doctor to get a thorough check-up, find out the cause and get it treated accordingly.
