Direct contact with the wife whose husband is positive of Corvid19
I’m 31 and on Thursday night/Friday I was down with flu, fever, sore throat, headache, body ache. Sympts usually for fever. On the same day, my very close colleague’s husband was admitted to the hospital as he was positive for Corvid19. My colleague is still under observation but her first test cam back negative. Awaiting for the 2nd and 3rd testing.
On Saturday, I went to Columbia hospital and the doctors advised that I should go to KK to do a thorough check up as I am in close contact and have developed symptoms. Today is Sunday, and I am feeling better. Just flu and feeling a bit weak. I’d like to seek advise on whether I should visit KK or hospital for a check up. Do I warrant a check up? Thank you for your question. Based on your complaint, you are now just having flu and feeling a little weak. For your information, if your colleague is positive for COVID-19, you are then called a direct contact of a COVID-19 patient. However, you may answer the quiz on Risk Assessment for COVID-19 to evaluate your health status in regards to this disease. After completing this quiz, you will be classified into several categories. An instruction will be given at the end of the quiz. Please act accordingly.
Otherwise, there are other illnesses that may bring about the symptoms that you have mentioned. For example:
- Other bacterial or viral infection like common cold
- Asthma
- Allergic Rhinitis
- Pneumonia
- Tuberculosis
- COPD
