Indirect contact with someone positive on covid-19

My colleague was in contact with a mother who has been tested positive for covid-19. The mother’s result is negative. If my colleague is also negative, should I or the company send the team on self quarantine for 14 days? We are on hotdesking environment and seated close to each other.

Greetings!

Thank you for your enquiry. According to your explanation, both your colleague and the mother your colleague came in contact with is negative. There is no need for other people at the company to go on self-quarantine. This is only indicated is there is a confirmed case of COVID-19 amongst your colleagues. Please do stick to proper hand hygiene and wear your face masks while in public. I hope this answers your question.
