Prolonged sore throat

Answered by: Dr Nur Syuhada binti Zulkifli

Dear doctors,

I have been prolonged sore throat since 11th March, and also a week after I had went again to clinic and doctor prescribed me with antibiotics. And till now, I still feel dry and the back of my throat and sometimes I cough.

I do practice the right cough etiquette and wash my hands regularly with soap or even sanitizer. I don’t think I got fever up to 37.5 yet.

Now some of my family members are developing cough and we also confirm that we haven’t got any close contact with a confirm patient of Covid-19 and didn’t travel to any other country for the past 14 days and self assessment made which indicate that I had minimal risk.

Not sure is it because of the stress or anxiety or uncertainty about the current situation or other things.

Hope to receive some advices from your dedicated team and may you all get blessed and protected all time to serve the country. Stay strong and safe, doctors!
