Side effects of COVID-19 vaccine

Hi doc, I am 38 years old, male. What are the side effects of COVID-19 vaccine? What should I do if I suffer from any side effects?

Greetings! Thank you for your questions.

For your information, COVID-19 vaccine has been approved to be safe for use. You may experience mild to moderate common side effects similar to other vaccines. The most common side effects that have been reported are minimal such as soreness at the site of the injection, headaches, muscle aches, chills, mild fever, and fatigue. However, these may vary for each individual and do not tend to last long, usually get better within a few days. The side effects are temporary and will recover later. Most important, these are a sign that your immune system is reacting well to the COVID-19 vaccine. The main benefit is the protection from critical illness of COVID-19, when you get vaccinated.
