Hi, my vein is clotted in my right middle finger (palm side). I felt a sharp pain while doing housework. Then I saw the vein bloated. I’ve googled it is called palmar digital vein thrombosis. What can I do to fix it? It hurts the moment I exert pressure to do normal daily activities like opening a bottle. Maybe my yoga practice was too intense this morning?

Hi, thank you for reaching out to us.

We understand your concern regarding your condition. However we need more information regarding on how you got your finger swollen and you will need to see a doctor to examine your finger and so that you could get treatment accordingly.

There are various reasons why you have similar conditions:

  • Venous thrombosis
  • Peripheral artery disease
  • Trauma
  • Raynaud’s disease
  • Buerger’s disease

However, those mentioned above are only our general impression on why you are having swollen and blue finger.
