Hello, thank you for your enquiry.

For your information, self-diagnosis is not recommended as false diagnosis may happen sometimes and cause worsening of the condition.

However, if you confirmed you have folliculitis, you may apply a warm, moist washcloth or compress over the affected are to ease the pain and itchiness. Keep the affected area clean and apply soothing lotions to reduce the risk of infection and to prevent further irritation. Take oral antibiotic such as penicillin or apply local antibiotic cream to the affected area may be the primary plan. If after antibiotic treatment and the folliculitis is not healed, an interventional method may be needed.

Please do refer this matter to a doctor before you start any oral medication, do have a proper advise and doses of medication to take for your condition.
